Presenters to cover:
Utilize LIRC via an ASP.NET Core web app to replace your universal remote.” LIRC is a package that allows you to decode and send infra-red signals of many (but not all) commonly used remote controls. ASP.NET is an open source web framework for building modern web apps and services with .NET.
Node-RED is a visual programming tool that allows easy control of all of the pins on the Raspberry Pi. It has a large collection of libraries that add functionality like the creation of a web page, sending emails, and twitter. It also has tight integration with a messaging platform called MQTT which allows easy wireless communication with devices like the ESP8266 as well as online data services. This makes Node_RED an ideal tool to easily create home automation applications.
